Some episode titles are very laughable and dumb, those being 'Bumgorf', 'Hafo Safo', and 'I Used To Be A Peoples' being the most laughable titles of the series.One gag where Cyborg extends his neck in length can be reused at times.In some of the earlier episodes, Starfire can be seen 'bathing' Silkie by licking him in the way a mother cat does with her kittens as well as eating food and spitting it into his mouth in the way a mother bird does with her babies, which is absolutely disgusting.There are even dated pop-culture references such as Fortnite dances and selfies.Also, farting is the main focus in 'Butt Atoms,' another example of gross-out humor. On that topic, most episodes frequently rely on bathroom humor/gross-out humor to the point where 'Hot Garbage' strongly relies on toilet humor.Most episodes mostly rely on offensive, contrived, low-brow, disgusting, disruptive, predictable, or even disturbing material at the worst. On the topic of comedy, the show's humor is a mixed bag, and misses the landing however.Due to the show’s botched writing and mediocre execution, some episodes spawned a lot of controversy around the world and those being 'Hot Salad Water', 'The Avogodo',''Don’t Be A Icarus', 'Baby Mouth' and 'Butt Atoms' being the worst offenders out there.Some of the main issues from Loonatics Unleashed have been shown in this series with one example with both animated shows to start off, deviating themselves from their respective franchise except that it's the complete opposite with the only difference with Loonatics trying to be edgier and Teen Titans Go! trying to be more comedic.What's more shocking is that Sam Register, the co-creator of Teen Titans along with a few original crew members, worked on that show.While the show's concept does sound like a decent idea on paper, but executed rather excused very poorly: The primary criticism of the show is how heavily it loses its roots from the original series where the original heavily relied on the action, storytelling, emotion and character development, but the show decides to push aside its focus on comedy, randomness and slice-of-life elements.
